Greetings, my name is Janice M. Porter certified parenting educator and owner and operator of Parenting Boot Camp of Hampton Roads. I have worked in the social work field with children, families, and victims of crime for the past 8 years. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Norfolk State University in 2012. What I Specialize In
Parenting Boot Camp HR uses a comprehensive program to help parents understand how children think. The program teaches how children function at different ages and stages of development. We emphasize how to promote effective discipline through teaching “what to do”, as opposed to “what not to do”. Most importantly this program teaches how to parent without manipulation and/or violence. Parents of all educational and socioeconomic backgrounds are welcome and can use this program to promote effective change in their home. Each parent will receive an easy to understand workbook. The program is designed to aid parents in acting right away, without having to digest large amounts of information. Upon completion of the course, each participant will receive a letter and certificate of completion.
